The da Vinci Code (Robert Langdon, #2)

OK, I'm going to cheat and do a simple review here. I have read and agree with all of the blindingly negative reviews I see here about the book. I don't think this book is very good, though I can't comment on the author's elitist ways or anything like that.
The book has value in one way: it's got so much...stuff...that it's easy to go through and learn something new, though of course, there's some things that I don't think are correct. Why let facts get in the way of a good story, right?
It's just that if I'm going to read a book that is so clearly meant as entertainment, shouldn't it be entertaining? Shouldn't it not be like a lecture? Well, that's what this is. The writing is so choppy and expositional, it dramatically lowers the overall value that could have been something special...even if the whole premise was plagiarized.
