A great read from Riley Sager! This book grabbed me from the beginning with little to no "busy work" trying to get into the story. As a home health aid, Kit has been on a leave of absence due to some negative allegations against her. She is given another chance to be a live-in caregiver for a wealthy family, but a family with a dark past.
I enjoyed following along in the present / past story-telling style of this book, but some of the twists and surprises were a bit confusing to keep up with toward the end. I also enjoyed the gothic-thriller style, filled with old money decaying mansion and house staff with history. All around, a very enjoyable read and the narrator of the audio book did a wonderful job.
