it was amazing

An atrociously repugnant, comically absurd and therefore most riveting novel apparently understood to have something to do with “becoming good� - ah yes, the redemption arc - how sweet. In fact, it is one of the most loathsome demonstrations of resignation, expungement of desire, intensity, and sensuality. Only the most diseased and corrupted mind could imagine the protagonist to be morally improved at the end. Equal parts tragedy, horror, and comedy.
