Saara El-Arifi is a name I've been hearing so much the past year from a lot of book people I follow, and when I heard she was making a fae book involving black women, I was in.

And I greatly appreciate the world building, the fae politics. Sadly, I can't pass that same appreciation over to the main characters. I love the fact the bond between two sisters was the focus, but I still felt like I needed more.
