The Duke Who Knew Too Much (Heart of Enquiry, #1)

There was nothing really wrong with this book, but at the same time, nothing was really right. If you know what I mean.
The beginning was funny the way they met and the heroine's misunderstanding was hilarious, but then I think the hero was so full of himself while being so insecure, that it did not make a pretty combination. Which made the whole "I like to dominate" theme super weak, in my opinion.
The heroine was a mother figure by fate, having to take care of all her siblings from ge 13. Which made her a strong and extremely stubborn character, but I was okay with her.
The mystery was okay and it surprised me in the end, but I can't say I liked it.
The intimate times were way too many and too often for my tastes, and I could not grasp how she could have gotten away so often back then without being discovered or worse.
So yeah, a good enough book but nothing wow. But I might continue the series, the next hero was intriguing.
