** spoiler alert ** I have mixed feelings about this book. There’s no doubt it’s a page turner and thriller it is, but something about it just didn’t do it for me. First off, the characters were unbearable and so frustrating!! The answer was right in front of Jo’s face, but she just couldn’t believe it. Don’t even get me started on Richard� I just.. I can’t. The daughter Chloe was a nightmare, and I never trusted her, it was obvious she was the one who committed the crimes against her family. The whole Richard blow out confused me?? Like, it just made no sense why he would want Jo and Evie dead. I didn’t believe it, so when that got cleared up after the fact and it was extremely clear Chloe is the one who actually did it, I thought “well duh�.. The ending sucked. I hate when books without a sequel (probably? Maybe?) end with a cliff hanger. Overall, it was just OK. I enjoyed reading it for the most part, but it was just very frustrating and annoying and the twist was kind of predictable. Idk 😂
