“Love is the ultimate goal. It’s not the one I had strived for, but I was lucky enough, so damn lucky, to achieve it.

I am in love with Tucker and this series. The Goal was perfect—just like Tucker. I had few expectations for this one because of the accidental pregnancy trope, but Kennedy nailed it to near perfection. I really enjoyed the story and how everything came full circle with this final book in the series.

Sabrina, the bitch queen of this series, as we previously knew her from the other books, is actually a really sweet person. She’s got a hard exterior, but inside, she’s just a vulnerable girl with a kind heart. She’s passionate about her career and loves being independent and determined to leave her trashy family behind, and she’s doing everything she can to make it happen until one night changes everything for her. It alters her plans and even gives her a chance to see where this casual thing with Tucker could go. Sabrina had her frustrating moments, but I understand why she behaved a certain way. She was just trying to protect herself from getting hurt because people had disappeared on her and disappointed her before. But Sabrina showed great development throughout the story. I loved it when she leaned on Tucker for help, support, and love.

“I can survive on my own. I don’t need Tucker I want him. I want him so much that I’d give everything up to have him and Jamie.

Tucker is the greenest flag of this series. He was always giving it’s always the quiet ones vibes, and he definitely proved that statement right because this man is something else. He is the sweetest, kindest, and most patient man. Absolutely nothing in life fazes him, and he takes on any situation head-on, even if it means having a baby with a girl he feels a special connection with. Tucker also has a nurturing side, and I love how he cares for his friends—how he is the mom of their group. He is truly a gentleman. His determination for Sabrina was so attractive, and he even got a bit daring in his pursuit of her. He knew what he wanted and what Sabrina needed, and he gave her exactly that. He loved her the way she deserved to be loved by the right man.

“You’re the only one for me. My sun rises and sets on your smile. My heart beats because yours does.

Tucker and Sabrina’s love story wasn’t easy, but it was perfect for them, and I loved it. Their story started in a normal way, and I appreciated how Kennedy didn’t just dump the baby trope in at the start but actually developed their romance and connection first before adding the baby into the mix. Tucker and Sabrina had amazing chemistry, and I loved their dynamics—Tucker was a man who wanted love and the whole white picket fence dream, while Sabrina didn’t do love because she was focused on becoming a successful woman. It was fascinating to see how Tucker helped Sabrina understand that sometimes love is the ultimate goal—and that she could have it too. He was also very understanding about the baby situation, and seeing Tucker as a dad was everything. He was born to be a proud girl dad.

“You still don’t get it, do you?
“Get what? she asks in a small voice.
“You. Me. Us. This. I spit out words as they pop into my head. “You’re the one, Sabrina. There’s no one else for me in this world, nobody but you.

Sabrina and Tucker had so many lighthearted, funny, and hot moments, but what drew me to them the most was the vulnerability they shared and how they took care of each other in those moments. It was beautiful to see them find a way to make it work, and they did—even with all the hardships and complicated situations. They truly are made for each other.

“You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, Sabrina James.
“No. She smiles. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.
Before I can lean down to kiss her, a hearty cry wails through the apartment.
“And that, I murmur, “is the best thing that’s ever happened to either one of us.

This series is so special to me—it’s my one of my top favourite sports romance series I’ve ever read. I don’t want to say goodbye, and I’m thankful that Kennedy has given us a spin-off and a second-generation series to read. I’m so excited for Summer and Fitzy’s story—it’s giving the perfect grumpy-and-sunshine vibe, and I am here for it.
