The Graveyard Book

This was my first Neil Gaiman book, and it won't be the last. I'm in my "Halloween reading season", but this book was not scary or horror. it is a beautiful story about a boy who is raised by the ghosts who inhabit a graveyard in England. It is touching, with a very subtle yet powerful artistry, as we get to know Nobody "Bod" Owens, his guardian Silas and their assorted associates, as well as the dark force of the Jacks of All Trades. The prose is beautiful, at times reminding me of Rothfus, and I highlighted many parts. the epithets on the graves were so clever! Great story, my only complaint-I wish it were longer, or had some sequals. I'll have to settle for reading more of NG's books.
