really liked it

As a big fan of ZP, I've read all of Yahtzee's books and other than the "Differently Morphous" series this is still my favorite one. I was kinda meh about the premise and probably would have passed on the book if Yahtzee weren't the author, but it turned out really fun. I felt it was a loving send-up of MMORPG tropes. (there are criticisms of the players, but I don't think he's saying MMO players are scum. More like, well, if this is the kind of behavior you incentivize, that's what you'll get.)

The book reminded me a lot of my misspent youth, a time well before the modern graphical MMORPG, when I dreamed of what it might be like to be a character who lived in a video game. Not just the generic concept of crazy weapons or epic battle or whatever... more like the appeal of Tron: the simple magic of seeing actions you take in the world very quickly cause change, of climbing a glowing mountain into the darkness and touching the sky, and the idea that this is all inside a computer and one could somehow interact with the machine from inside it. A simpler time, haha.

SPOILERS FOR THE FINAL JACQUES MCKEOWN BOOK:
Yahtzee, if you ever read this: I know I said I'd love a sequel to Mogworld, but (view spoiler)
