 what i liked :
- i really enjoy life stories in general and even if i had to read this for school i liked
- it accomplished what it needed to accomplish in a very short amount of pages we feel invested in Salinas story and that’s hard to do in barely 150 pages
- the very poetic writing
- female rage
 what i didn’t like :
- i tend to not like books when school makes me read them i hate to feel forced to read a book and i think i would’ve enjoyed it more if i picked it up by myself
- it wasn’t really an historical book as it didn’t have a set location or period but it gave historical fiction vibes which is honestly not my favorite
- even if i felt invested in the characters i didn’t care that much and wanted it to be over
