*would have been 1.5 stars if point fives were an option*
Perhaps part of why I didn't like this is because I had just finished reading a book by David Sedaris (another humorist) which I really enjoyed. It was difficult not to compare the two.
I found this book childish and immature. I didn't find it funny. It was an easy read though. I'm sure some people will like it. It's just not my taste.
Also, I can't write this review without mentioning that one of the stories in it had one of my biggest pet peeves. There was a story entitled "Cupid" which had both Cupid and Zeus as characters. Cupid is of Roman mythological origin; Zeus is of Greek mythological origin. You can't just mix the two. There is a Roman version of Zeus, and a Greek version of Cupid. Pick one type of myth and stick with it.
