it was ok

** spoiler alert ** Omg I’m sorry but what an eye roll. So so so unrealistic. I really like Riley Sager books typically but this one was just. I can’t even find the word for it. Twist after twist after twist was just too much. 80% of the book I was just listening to Kit drone on about what she thought was going to happen, instead of actually getting to it. MAYBE if the twists were presented in a different or more drawn out fashion it would have been ok?

Pet peeve - characters who can’t communicate for the sake of the novel but then suddenly can 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 I also found a new pet peeve - so sick of characters doing their own detective work and figuring it all out while the police don’t listen to them and don’t do their job. Also Berniece just giving up the entire story to Kit after having met her for 10 seconds? When we spent pages and pages and nights and nights waiting for Lenora/Virginia to type the damn story? If I stay on this review too long I’m going to keep remembering stuff I couldn’t stand about it 😂 shout out to Riley sager for coming up with all of that and keeping it straight though 🤷🏼‍♀
