really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, romance

** spoiler alert ** 3.5 round up to 4 on here. I was okay with this book but I feel like as with the bridge kingdom this author makes it hard for me to like the main character when I feel she doesn’t use logic enough. I get how angry she is at lies and what not but the inability to try an listen to words of others drives me crazy. 🤪 if she really didn’t want to be a weapon to be used why not listen to what the others say? Why not use critical thinking once and say maybe this guy who wants to use me as a weapon may be the bad guy for real. I get her boy toy lied but at least hearing him out is owed then making an informed decision would work. I get reacting on emotions but maybe I just didn’t get her character enough to get her emotions. I found myself irritated at it, thus wanting to skip to the end of the last two chapters though I didn’t. Maybe will pick up the next book since o liked this more than bridge kingdom but won’t be something I run to at release. It was fun enough though even thought I’m complaining about it haha
