it was ok
bookshelves: british, disappointing, meh, relationships, romance

So disappointed. Emmie Blue and Eight Perfect Hours are favorite reads of mine but this book just fell apart. The premise is a good one - draft emails of innermost thoughts unintentionally sent. It could have been quite a wild ride. But it just wasn’t. It created so much drama for Millie, the main character, herself, and the event itself was so consuming that it became tiresome. Her connection with her romantic interests - Owen in the past and Jack currently - didn’t make sense. I didn’t see either of their connections with Millie and both relationships lacked any chemistry. I didn’t have the heart to DNF so I just skim read the last two thirds. A sad read for a Lia Louis fan on this book. I’ll still keep reading her books, though! Emmie Blue is brilliant.
