** spoiler alert ** This book is about the cultural divide between the Middle East and the West. An American woman's Middle Eastern husband takes their children back home with him because he doesn't want them to be Americanized. She tries to get them back. I thought I would like it for strong characters and to learn about the culture, but it just wasn't written in a way that I liked or got an awful lot out of. It was kind of disappointing, but maybe that was the point of the story - life isn't always what you expect or want.
