Going into this I had such high expectations because the ASH and SOS series have been comfort books that have stuck with me for a few years now. I was so glad the stories weren't over yet, especially since we were finally getting Bailev lore. But something about this one felt so different and I'm not sure in what way (good or bad). I will say when Lev and Bailey weren't being a pain in the butt individually and together, some of their banter had me giggling, feet kicking and all. Side note: the whole Thalia situation could have been solved so easily so early on but we move. However, the constant pop culture references did honestly make me cringe hard enough where I needed to pause for a sec sometimes. I also wanna add that just the flow of it was so frustrating, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt because the whole point is that addiction and recovery is not in the slightest bit linear. A little sad because I was so thrilled going into it and still loved how we got that character development in the end, just not what I was expecting out of these two!
