Definitely one of the creepiest books I've ever read. Pacing could be faster but good enough that I finished it in 1 day. The existential lecturing when the adults spoke to Bela was a little strange but also added to the weird eeriness of the book. Was on its way to an easy 5 stars but what on earth was that ending?
