it was ok
bookshelves: sports

Finally finished this. Why is it true EVERY TIME I'm struggling to get through a book, once I push myself to finish it, I realize I really shouldn't have bothered and DNF-ed it instead?

The author reiterated character names so much, it felt like she thought I have memory problems.

Teri-K I've found of I like the writing but I'm not sure about a book it can be worth finishing. Tom Lake was like that, but I kept reading and ended up loving it. But if I'm bored or the writing isn't working for me it never helps to keep reading. I don't suddenly like bad writing or develop an interest in a boring book, I've found.

Sheryl Glad I'm not the only one.

Cedricsmom That will probably change as you get older. I just DNFed a book at 50%, but I’m in my 60s. I truly don’t have time to waste on sub-par books.

Rosalie Oliver OMG, the repetition of the characters names was so annoying!

Steve Olive/Roaslie, did you see any greater purpose to the repetition of names? Was the author intending anything more with it?
