I first heard about this short story from a friend's review of another book and heard it has a great depiction of mental illness and for a story that is written at the end of 1800s I have to firmly agree with that.
The story follows a woman who is going through a mental break down and how it is dismissed by her husband who is a physician, nonetheless. It's interesting that one century forward and mental illnesses are still stigmatized and treated that way by some people.
I just wish the story was longer adding more to the abrupt ending, but I think it is worth giving 20-30 minutes of your time!
