Honestly pretty entertaining. The writing is whatever, but the storyline is fun. I found the setup of the political situation that of this world to be intriguing and found myself pretty curious about what happens next.

There's definitely a lot of repeated tropes in here and familiar aspects of the story. I also thought some of the rules around various aspects of the world didn't feel entirely thought out but if you're not trying too hard to dissect it and to just let yourself enjoy the story, I think it makes for an exciting and fun read.
