Same. I DNF'd at chapter 3 because life is too short to read boring books. I don't want to read about people salivating at the smell of butter.

I felt butter, sorry BETTER, after reading your review. Im at chapter 3 and I cannot, for the life of me, bring myself to move further ahead in the book. Your mention of Free will really spoke to me, so I am moving on and hope the guilt of not finishing it will not ruin my life 🥹😩🙃
i’m so happy i wasn’t going crazy about the translation issues!! it feels so off the whole time reading it.
The translation was soooo clunky. Somehow I made it to 50 pages from the end. Then I realized life is too short for this.
I forget that I have free will sometimes, then I remembered and did the same, was boring couldn’t get into it
Thank you for reminding me that life is too short to read bad books! I really tried to read this, but I kept getting too sleepy. I was intrigued by the feminist themes, but it all feels too clunky.
