really liked it

I wanted to read this one purely based off of the fact that it mentioned Proust. It’s been a number of years since I last bothered to pick up any of his books but there’s just something about them that makes me want to know more about everything. I read this sweet little book in just over an hour because a) it’s tiny, and b) I just couldn’t stop once I’d started because this book is about an individual who discovers her love of reading. This is a book for all of the book lovers out there. It’s cozy, it’s familiar, it’s affection all wrapped up in a neat book of joy. How could I not love a book about why readers love to read? Aside from discovering the joy of reading, I can’t really say much else happened in this one, but it didn’t really need to. A short and sweet story about books is a great escape from my usual fantasy worlds and crime scenes.

Thanks so much to Gallic books for sending me a copy of this one.

Jean Robinson Lovely review! I too bought this randomly because I read Proust 50 years ago as a student I really didn’t ‘get him now I want to try him again and I want to be Clara!
