bookshelves: library-loan, agatha-christie-challenge

This is the first book in the “Agatha Christie challenge I joined on the Agatha Christie website. One book a month based in “an era - the first 3 are in the twenties. So I’m a little behind. Book reserved at Crewe Library.

I restated the book on about 3/4/24 due to working, I had also got a bit confused with all the characters at the start so - yes - glad I did that.

You have to remember this book was originally written in the 1920s so the way that Agatha Christie writes, and the language she uses, denotes how people, (upper class? well off?), spoke and lived.

My version had two “chapter 12s. The original version that she had written (as chapter 13) and the one that was used. You could say that the one that actually finished the book “Poirot Explains is much better and finishes it better. It also kept Poirot out of actually giving the evidence.

You have to ask when reading these, and when watching all the films, how DID Agatha Christie do this?
