Dr. Reilly Stanton is the 8th Marquis of Stillworth who accepts a physician position in Skye where he meets the strange but beautiful Miss Brenna Donnegal. He took the job to show his possible ex-fiancée that he was not just a loser. At the same time, Miss Brenna is being pursued by the local Earl and wants the doctor to declare her insane so that he could marry her. This sounds so incredibly sus. For half of the book, I didn’t see how the two had any interest in each other. And then they added a piano scene and a singing scene, and somehow that’s where they kiss passionately.

It was very well written and I liked both the characters. They were strong in their own ways and stood up for what’s right. It felt like a good old classic romance.
