I wanted to like this book, however the literary style made the entire story hard to follow. The themes, characters and backdrops were clouded as the author seemed to communicate in incomplete thoughts. Coupled with several storyline jumps and timeline skips back and forth, the story wasn't robust enough to remove frustration with the literary style at bay.
