While I never owned the Little Miss Shy book as a child, she has been my absolute favourite Mr Men / Little Miss character since I was nine.

I first discovered her while watching the TV show from the 1990s, and I absolutely adored her. I related extremely to her social anxiety and fear of people. It was so wonderful to feel seen and represented for a trait that is typically presented in such a negative and wrong light.

Little Miss Shy is so sweet. Her romance with Mr Quiet is top tier, all of her TV voices are unbearably cute, she's relatable, and her moments of courage are thrilling.

I constantly watched read-alouds of Little Miss Shy on YouTube, including videos that displayed the whole book, so I suppose it counts as ebooks. I hunted down all the episodes featuring her and replayed all her scenes. An AMV of her introduced me to the wonderful vocaloid song, トエ� (Toeto). I bought Little Miss Shy And The Fairy Godmother and read it repeatedly.

To finally read Little Miss Shy in person is such a delight. Her character has brought me so much comfort, and I have such fond memories of watching her episodes with one of my primary school best friends.
