Long Island (Eilis Lacey, #2)

This review may be short but it will not be sweet, because I have many unpleasant thoughts. Here is my review of Colm Tóibín’s Long Island.
“Oh, he is good at his job, your husband. I’d say he’s in great demand. The man stopped for a second, looking behind him to check no one was listening. “He fix everything in our house, he went on pointing a finger at her. “He even did a bit more than what was in the estimate. Indeed, he came back regularly when he knew that the woman of the house would be there and I would not. And his pluming is so good that she is to have a baby in August. - Long Island.
There are not many men nowadays—in fiction or in real life—that I find to be fulfilling. As a man myself who dates men, overall, I find men disappointing. In recent times, I only had two examples of men that gave me something to aspire to and for. Lil Papa from Pose and Tony from Brooklyn. However, today, after having finished reading Long Island—the second book in the Eilis Lacey series—Lil Papi is the only one left.
I give this book 3.5 stars. It left me with so many unresolved feelings about Tony and I don’t know where to put them.
