Great book for those into 90s nostalgia, cultural, or generational fiction. If this is your vibe, find a copy.
If you're into historicals, however, proceed with caution. The novel is unbalanced and favors the 1990s story so much that inclusion of the 1950s chapters felt unnecessary. The narrative also suffers from a predictable plot that takes far too long for the characters to work out.
