Mixed feelings on this one. I expected it to be a beach read like Elin Hilberbrand but definitely wasn’t. Lots of content around menopause, miscarriages and abortion. I also assumed it was supposed to have taken place in Sandwich, MA but it couldn’t have actually been with the way she described the National Seashore, tram, rail trail and stores. So maybe the title relates more to the beach sandwiches or being sandwiched in feelings or people - not sure. I honestly don’t love books that are really crass. The writing was hard to follow at first as it tried to be edgy and didn’t flow for me. The mom caused a lot of drama just for no reason which was irritating. She also was a little over the top creepy with how she discussed her kids as adults and didn’t have boundaries you would expect. Anyway - not my favorite.
