it was ok
bookshelves: young-adult, dystopia

I am not sure if this was a dystopian love story, suspense, or sci-fi mix-up. I hadn't read the first two books, so that probably didn't help in my not connecting with the characters. I felt like there could have been more dialogue, more about all the characters, especially Jade, and the romance sections left out. Also, a big question - Why was it titled "Quake"? A mountain was moved but an earthquake was not the main thrust of the story. Maybe "Moveable Mountains" might have been a closer ie-in.

Hawk made it into the Western state interior to hack into Hotspur Chance's compound, where Jade was taken. Faith and Dylan are trapped in rooms at the zoo. Both toxic to their particular weaknesses. Hawk reverses the command to detonate the "electric chair" wiping out a whole state of people."
