I wanted to DNF this early on, but with all the good 4- and 5-star reviews, I figured it would eventually pick up. A lot of reviews said this was the scariest book they have ever read. They couldn’t read it at night because it was so scary and they were afraid to pick it back up. I wanted to be scared too. But like several other people said, I think I read a different book. There was not one scary moment for me but I was also afraid to pick it up because it was so bad. And the ending? I don’t even know what that was or what it was supposed to mean. This book was just a bunch of rambling and nothing exciting happened. The only character I liked was Milky and I don’t even know what happened to him. Grandma Ruth I guess forgot he existed.
