This book gets so many hype reviews so I was curious to read. But after this and Home Before Dark, I don’t think I will read anything from Riley Sager. The writing style is just not for me, and I don’t like the Gothic style. The book is so slow in the middle and just repeats itself so much: the rhythm, the way Kit believed L was the murderer, etc. I was forced to continue reading and actually felt bored. Kit was also annoying and rude when kept forcing L to tell the truth and broke her snow globe. Who the hell is an employee/nurse so neglected about her duty? The ending is kind of forceful and illogical.

It should be 2 stars but there are many good twists at the end and I always like happy ending so I give it 1 more star. But to be honest, I’m disappointed.
