did not like it

This book felt like a parody of the first one. The things I loved in the previous book, such as the grumpy & sunshine trope, or Evie's strong will, or plot twists in an intrigued storyline, have all become overdone. The villain is pinning so hard that it is pathetic and strongly in the level of miscommunication. The main character is now pedantic and very two-dimensional, always on the brinck of death but always avoiding. The plot twist stopped being fun after the 50th page.

The Man from DelMonte Absolutely with you on all of that

Jamie A parody of the first is so correct. Even worse considering the first book already felt like a parody of villains in general.
