I really enjoyed this book and Ali Hazelwood’s writing and her eccentricity makes me chuckle every time. Her mmcs ALWAYS falls first and harder, so it’s not surprising that it happens again in this book. And I’m such a sucker for this particular trope.
Lukas is thoughtful, observant, loyal, stoic, and unflappable. The hidden kinky side of him makes him insanely attractive. The way he noticed and discovered Scarlett’s fear of men, and how he rescued and protected her during her vulnerable moments makes me sigh with longing. I find myself falling in love with him.
One thing I don't like in this book was the lack of communication between Scarlett & Lukas. It was frustrating to see how she kept doubting what was happening between them. But i don’t blame Scarlett because i was equally frustrated with Lukas too.
Putting that little grumble aside, it was still a wonderful read. Reminds me of the author’s previous books. And i screamed quietly when Adam Carlsen appeared.
For now, the wonderful Adam Carlsen hasn’t been dethroned. I look forward to meeting more of Ali’s mmcs 🤸🏻♂️🙌�
