This book altered my brain chemistry in all of the best ways. Ophelia and Dante’s love story was dark and beautiful, and the slow unraveling of their stories was almost torturous but so, so necessary. Raphaella Carver did their characters every bit of justice. Not only was her writing mysteriously captivating, it was hauntingly beautiful. I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that this was her DEBUT novel. This will likely remain one of my top reads of the year!!!
