This memoir started out very slow鈥�..just describing the everyday life of a young wife and mother and their family life on their farm in the Lake District in England. For me the most interesting and enjoyable parts of the book were the last few chapters. When reading those chapters, you can appreciate the rarely recognized or respected work and dedication that it takes to raise children, contribute to a community, maintain friendships, and stay connected with your spouse.
