this book was jaw droppingly good. sloane and xavier are definitely my favorite kings of sin couple. i was so excited for this book when it came out in april, and it did not disappoint.

sloane's character is amazing. i literally love her so much. i love how she's written as cold and reserved and she keeps up with her written character and doesn't randomly change halfway through the book with no warning. as the book progresses, i love how she opens up to xavier and smiles mores. sloane was so badass and i absolutely love how she ate up anyone who tried to wrong her. it was so cute to read.

xavier. oh my god. favorite kings of sin man. he made dante look like last week's leftovers (dante wasn't that good anyway). the way he never gave up chasing sloane, even after all her hostility and attempts to end their relationship because she was scared. i loved seeing him pine over sloane, it was adorable. it's funny how xavier says he isn't poetic, because some of his lines could definitely be featured in taylor swift's folklore or evermore. xavier's nickname for sloane was SO CUTE, oh my god, like luna? his reasoning made so much more sense than "sunshine" because the moon is what guides you through the darkness, not the sun. also i hate you alex volkov xx !!

i absolutely love the reverse grumpy x sunshine troupe where the girl is grumpy instead of the guy. the way ana huang wrote them was so cute and i loved this book so much. xavier and pen?? i'm dead. i'm really hoping sloane AND xavier will be in future books !!

10/10, i love this book with my whole heart.
