The beginning of this book was so sweet and then it abruptly got so smutty in a way that felt out of character (and let the record show I have nooooo problem with smut.) The specific anatomical words the author used in the sex scenes were bone chilling (derogatory.) Also the male love interest was completely unrealistic towards the end- men don’t behave like that. But there were of course some sweet parts of the book too- I loved the found family aspect. And Dom was sexy. 3.5 stars.

Wow! I felt the same way about the smut! I wish it wasn’t there 😭 and I love smut lol. Just felt like it took away from a really good story! We could have had the love story without the smut IMO
maddie was literally the worst and dom was actually not even close to being realistic

Curls, lol! I took off a star in my review because of “growls�! Oh, and when Maddie looked at Dom’s “taught� stomach right before she and Rosalie put the final puzzle together.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who felt that way about the sex scenes. I loved the book so much and they didn’t need to be so �. Well you know!

Yes to everything! it was so jarring to see Maddie go from completely hating Dom to liking/hooking up with him. I find Maddie to be so insufferable ☠️
I don’t mind smut but it definitely was out of place here. There was no build up. Maddie hated him but then bam suddenly decides to sleep with him. I just hated her character. 😂
This 100%. I skipped over so many scenes because it was cringe. A story would have been 5 star if she’d left it closed-door.
omg YES. I thought i was being prudish or "old". It got very smutty which i don't mind but didn't seem to "fit" the character. I also found her overall reactions to things to be completely over the top and irrational. Dom was super sexy but unrealistic and liked the end.

I have barely started this book and I’m not sure I’m going g to go any further with it. I don’t like Maddie! I’m disliking her so much that at this point I don’t care if she turns it around. Thanks for your review, I think I’ll move on to something else.
I absolutely agree. It really made the writing "cheap" for me. I loved it until I got to that part and it definitely lowered my rating of what I considered could have been a great book.
I just think she should not have crossed that line with him until he told her the truth about Rosaline. There were so many cringe moments that I felt she had every right to be so angry at him. They both were unlikable! The twin brothers were probably my favorite part.
I felt the same way about the spicy scenes! This was shaping up to be a five stars and that really took me out.
I love a good sex scene but I found this to be so out of character for her! And she was so frustrating I don’t know how she had friends who stuck with her, she didn’t give to any of her relationships
