I love me some Grady Hendrix. This one does not disappoint. His campy, weirdly bizarre stories just seem to suck me in. This is about Kris Pulaski, a heavy metal guitarist who creates a band with a high school friend, named Terry Hunt. Flash forward more than 20 years and Kris is now working at a dead-end job at a Best Western in Pennsylvania. One day as she is leaving work she sees a billboard for the Blind King's Farewell Tour. The Blind King is Terry Hunt who is now a super-famous musician. This billboard gets Kris thinking about the past and makes her feel unsettled, so she strikes out on an adventure to find out what exactly happened that night so long ago when Terry made them all sign new contracts to stay involved with the band. Super entertaining and a quick read!
