This book started off with great potential. The characters and subject matter were interesting and unusual. The author is very generous and descriptive in painting a picture of the characters and their surroundings. The middle of the book drags on for too long, with very little happening to any of the characters. While this could have been very tense and intriguing, we are not given enough insight to be pulled in.
