Life of a village.. there are times when you get tired of fast & self centered city life and you feel like running away and settling in a small village with simple people and simple lives. But this novel is an eye opener that no matter where you run situation is just the same only the the faces are different, the issues, psychology, problems, evils are just the same. tHe same story applies to our corporate world. No matter where you go the same politics, people & survival of the fittest.

So what is the solution.. the solution is to stay & fight back. May be even the people you love go against you, cheat you, harm you.. but eventually if you are right noone can stop you. Sooner or later the wrong looses and the right wins... Whatever one does s/he has to bear in this life. There is no rebirth or heaven or hell. Everything is here & now.

Quiet a learning but the protagonist of this novel - Ramesh is a hero from the Art movies of Bollywood who sets to put his village - his hometown in place. He tries to fight the caste, illiteracy, ignorance of people, suffers losses, gets cheated & looses money, is plotted against & insulted but he never wanders away form his goal, his beliefs and that is what we should stand for. It was always the power of one which changed the world time & again.. and so it stays...
