The original title of this book is "Scrum: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time" and therefore the translation into Italian is literal. From the subtitle "Aiming for success with the Scrum method" it would seem to be a manual for applying this method, while after a few pages you understand that it is not a detailed guide at all, even if the key concepts, terminology and many examples are present. In fact, in extreme synthesis, I would define it as a book to advertise the Scrum method and make Companies want to hire a consultant and pay him to apply it in the Company or teach it to the Company's managers.
This book, in fact, is not focused on "how" to apply Scrum but on "why" it is worth applying it.
Sutherland starts from the beginning, that is, to make it clear where Scrum comes from, by whom and for what problems it was designed and how it is applicable in various fields today, giving some smattering of how it works through real examples told in an interesting way and concludes by telling us that Scrum can be used in all contexts where you want to increase value, because value is what really counts, it is the ultimate goal. Some concepts are a little more in depth, but in general the writing is clear, the pages easy to read and the contents explained clearly. A book that in the end leaves something, even if Sutherland's pomposity and excessive pride towards the end of the book are a little boring.
