3.5-4! the friendships and female agency at the heart of this book really drew me in. the despair rippling off the pages was so painful at points to get through, and some characters were a bit one-dimensional and the writing heavy handed at times. but ultimately it’s a story about hope, community, and how books can transport and save you. feels timely to read in a period where information and education is more critical than ever
