My For You Page has been full of mixed reviews for this book and I would just like to say that I absolutely LOVED and ADORED this book!!! I think there are two sides to some of the reviews, you get the more fluffy romance girlies that feel that this one was too spicy, and then you get the dark romance lovers, and spicy girlies that felt like this was disappointing. Both opinions are valid, however, I went into this with zero expectation knowing only the blurb and seeing the suggestive cover, which I think was just the best way to go with it. Because this book was unexpectedly spicy with a kinky twist to it (but yes very tame compared to most darker romance books, so if you go into this expecting that level of spice you will be disappointed). But this book was about so much MORE than all of that. But also, I'm sorry some of Lukas' lines were some of the hottest shit I have ever read! And I stand by that fully!

Scarlett's character was hands down one of the most relatable characters that I have read in such a long time. I loved her avoidant tendencies, her slight social awkwardness, and ability to blend into the background and be a bit of a wallflower at times. Because I related so hard on so many levels, so I think for that reason this book really resonated for me. Scarlett was for the girls that feel like they're doing the most but also never enough, and feel like they will never completely fit in.

Lukas motherfreaking Blomqvist!! The way he loved and treated Scarlett was the absolute embodiment of the phrase "to be loved is to be heard/seen." The way he listens to everything she says, coming down to even the smallest things! Ugh, my hearttt! He is for all the eldest daughters of the world!

He laughs. Lukas straight-up, outright laughs.�

He shakes his head. “You’re not cold, Scarlett,� he says. “You’re . . . soft.�
“I’m not soft.�
“You are with me.� His eyes meet mine. A dark, unflinching look that sands layer upon layer off me. “Maybe I make you soft.�

“Hey,� he says, soft. “I need to know what you need, Scarlett. And whether I can provide it for you.�

All in all, Deep End was a new favourite read of mine and I can't wait to get my book trophy for my shelf after reading it on my kindle! I highly highly recommend reading this I had the best time. The banter will have you giggling, Scarlett will feel like a love letter to the girls that never fit it in fully, and Lukas will have you blushing in no time.
