Synopsis:
Hope finds her good for nothing husband plotting to leave with his mistress, who is planning to rob and poison Hope. She is rescued by her centaur, Calden, a strong warrior who has never wanted a mate and never taken a human woman. He takes care of her but his lack of forwardness (due to his being frightened she isn’t ready since her near rape) causes her to believe he will never love her (despite her realizing she loves him) so she runs away. Right into a witch. The evil witches sons threaten to rape her (now the 2nd of 3) and she is sold by the witch to a group of evil centaurs and is AGAIN almost raped (3/3). A truly excessive amount of rescue needed. It’s a bit painful how long bf it goes on.
Her centaur challenges the bad centaur who has dibs on Hope and he wins then takes her home and they FINALLY fuck. At the 92% mark. Then it is finally happily ever after and lots of sex and even a little comeuppance for her former husband when she goes back to collect her things.

A good 25 to 35% of the book is her struggling and in terrible peril. Also we hear other women be brutalized (and not be rescued). Honestly it is totally unnecessary.
