it was ok

All in all, this was disappointing. The mixed style (each chapter beginning as if it were the continuation of a novel and then switching into quasi-academic language) was not pleasing. It tells the biography competently, but I was expecting a fuller, richer, more significant take on Judith Jonesâ€� amazing life.

I wonder if the manuscript was offered to Knopf and if they decided to pass on it.
