A man returning home after being gone for a couple of weeks finds himself in a nightmare.
That's what happens To Randall Morgan, driving home in the pouring rain, when he comes to a stop at an intersection. He looks up, and is horrified to see a man hanging from a lamppost. He immediately thinks to call 911, and while waiting for the police, sees people walking by, not reacting to the scene. So the story begins, and as it continues, Randall finds out that the worst possible thing to do is to call the police.
A dystopian story evolves, as Randall and his brother try to navigate this new existence in search of Randall's young son.
This is 1 in a series of 3 books.
