Storm Born (Dark Swan, #1)

These two stories are interesting, but it felt like something was missing. The heroine is a shaman who fights fae and can move between our world and the fae world (Otherworld). She later finds out that she is half fae with tremendous potential power.
Although the Otherworld exists in our present day time, the inhabitants have not embraced technology. The combination of the two worlds in this story didn’t work for me.
Love triangles are great, but they seem common in Richelle Mead’s work and I’m growing a little weary of them. Especially when there is little build-up to the relationship and the reader is left scratching their head as to how the heroine is in love with two people. I guess I’m saying that the relationships weren’t believable.
I read the books quickly, but I didn’t really enjoy them. I wanted to know the conclusion so I pressed on.
