This was such an interesting premise and I feel like it paid off for the most part. The audiobook quality is not great and could have used some editing, but the narrator was good. As per usual with YA, the trans rep was so heavy handed that I felt like it overshadowed the plot sometimes, while other times it made sense in relation to what was going on. I didn't get too far into their debut novel but I definitely want to go back and finish it now.
