Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)

Shatter Me was, in my opinion, the best way to begin a series like the Shatter Me Series. The world building was perfect, there wasn't too much characters introduced in the same time and we got to see and understand Juliette's thoughts and how she sees the world. We understand that at a certain point in the asylum, she doesn't have hope anymore, until obviously Adam enters her cell.
Tahereh Mafi is an amazing writer. My native language isn't English, but I understood every word because they were not complicated. We could see through the pages that Juliette was losing her mind, slowly. The crossed words and sentences were chef's kiss.
Shatter Me was a very good read for me, and I'll spend the rest of my life loving it.

Quotes Milie Liked

“I spent my life folded between the pages of books.
In the absence of human relationships I formed bonds with paper characters. I lived love and loss through stories threaded in history; I experienced adolescence by association. My world is one interwoven web of words, stringing limb to limb, bone to sinew, thoughts and images all together. I am a being comprised of letters, a character created by sentences, a figment of imagination formed through fiction.”
